KATE NELSON, Principal Designer

With a background balancing tradition and innovation, Kate approaches each project as an opportunity to create beautiful, livable spaces for her clients. Her natural proclivity is to put function before form, beginning with an understanding of the ways a space will be used before delving into the colors, finishes and details that bring it to life. KNI's projects reflect a classic aesthetic that reimagine traditional elements for a modern lifestyle. Kate's vast experience has provided her with a solid grounding in Project Management, an abiding respect for Early American Architecture, and strong, collaborative relationships with many design professionals and craftsmen in Vermont and beyond. 

 

Kate lives in Weybridge, Vermont with her husband, kids and Border Collie. In her free time she enjoys cooking, gardening, running and going on adventures with her family.
