Designed as a welcoming retreat for a client visiting her nearby daughter and grandchildren, this Charlotte, Vermont home balances the ease of a country house with a quietly elevated sense of refinement. The architecture, designed by Davis Frame Co., provided a timeless foundation for an interior designed and furnished by Kate Nelson Interiors.
The design is rooted in a traditional aesthetic, thoughtfully layered with the character and charm of the English countryside. Elevated mouldings, bespoke details, and carefully considered furnishings give the home a sense of permanence, while a soft, restrained palette keeps the spaces feeling light, comfortable, and collected.
